TenCate Geosynthetics Linz celebrates 50th anniversary!

TenCate Geosynthetics has been producing geotextiles in Linz for 50 years. In October 2021, the workforce celebrates the successes of recent years with an employee party.

Geotextiles have been produced in Linz for over 50 years. TenCate Geosynthetics alias Polyfelt GmbH has contributed significantly to the change of construction methods in infrastructure with its products. The use of geotextiles for road, water, railroad, and tunnel construction have changed the industry retroactively. From Linz, the success began in 1971, with the establishment of the first nonwoven plant for geotextiles. Through applications in the construction industry, and 10 years later in the agricultural sector with crop covers, new, interesting business fields could be established.

The Linz site today is part of a regional unit with sister sites in the Netherlands (Hengelo) and France (Bezons). Today, the Linz site employs up to 130 people in production, sales and marketing. Attached to the Linz site are another 20 sales staff in the main EMEA markets.
