The historic Tua railway follows one of Douro’s tributaries, Tua river. Due to the construction of a large dam downstream, a solution must be found to protect the existing platform from instability created by new hydraulic conditions.
To build a new refinery unit at the site of an oil refinery in Antwerp, a temporary road had to be constructed. Specific problems had to be solved due to the size 27m long, 20m high and the weight 1.400 tons of the element .
Commissioned by the Department of Waterways and Public Works, the A15 between the Maasvlakte and the Vaanplein interchange is widened. The aim was to reduce the number of traffic jams and ensure that the surrounding area is safer and remains accessible.
